Julian Ambrose

As a director and shareholder of both Atlas Building (WA) and BGC Australia, Julian has overseen the successful growth of the construction business over the past three decades. He is experienced in all facets of the construction sector, including the successful development and construction of both the Westin and Aloft Hotels.

Julian’s vision is for Atlas to be an industry-leading, self-performing contractor, and he actively promotes the integration of innovative construction solutions across all of our projects.

Kelvin Ryan

Kelvin has over 25 years’ experience in the construction industry at senior executive levels. He began his career in building materials with Boral Ltd, and from 2003 onwards served as CEO of two of Australia’s largest residential building companies – BGC Residential and Simonds Group Limited. He has also held senior executive positions in the mining and manufacturing sectors.

Kelvin brings a wealth of experience in delivering affordable housing solutions and associated financing options, having overseen the financing and construction of tens of thousands of new homes and numerous residential construction projects. He holds a Master of Science degree from Griffith University and is a board member of Housing Australia.

Andrew Teo

Andrew Teo is an experienced corporate leader with over 40 years in finance, governance, and executive management across Australia and Southeast Asia. He spent more than 35 years as CFO and Executive Director at BGC (Australia) Pty Ltd, where he led financial, legal, and strategic operations across construction, mining, and property sectors.

Since retiring in 2018, Andrew has held board roles with several ASX-listed companies, offering leadership and advisory expertise, particularly in the mining and resources sector. In February 2025, he was appointed Director of Atlas Building (WA), where he continues to offer pragmatic leadership, a strong understanding of financial and risk management, and a reputation for guiding organisations through growth and transformation.

Andrew holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia.

  • Brian Marinovich

    Ray Daly

    GENERAL MANAGER

    An accomplished General Manager with extensive experience in commercial construction, known for driving business growth, operational excellence, and successful project delivery across a wide range of sectors. With a career spanning over two decades, Ray has led high-performing teams, overseen multimillion-dollar portfolios, and delivered complex commercial projects on time and within budget.

    Strategic and hands-on, Ray combines commercial acumen with deep construction knowledge to lead operations from project acquisition through to completion. He excels at building strong client and stakeholder relationships, implementing robust systems and processes, and fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

    A natural leader, Ray inspires teams to perform at their best, develops future leaders, and consistently aligns project outcomes with business objectives.

    John Irvine

    BUSINESS UNIT MANAGER - AGED CARE

    John first joined in 1999 as a Contracts Administrator. In 2007 he was appointed Manager of Health & Aged Care.

    The primary focus of this division is on all aspects of retirement living, including green title villages, independent living units, community centres, nursing homes and aged care facilities, as well as health care projects.

    Richard King

    BUSINESS UNIT MANAGER - COMMERCIAL

    With over 20 years of experience in the West Australian construction industry, Richard has been associated with the delivery of a diverse range of projects exceeding $500M in value. As a Business Unit Manager, Richard’s portfolio oversees our commercial projects including contracts in the residential, retail, education, hospitality and institutional sectors.

    His management style is based on the fundamentals of leadership, developing and maintaining strong client and subcontractor relationships, collaboration, value for money and a focus on continual improvement for the benefit of all stakeholders.

    Craig Winter

    BUSINESS UNIT MANAGER - REGIONAL

    Having joined the Atlas Building regional team in 2013 as a Site Manager, Craig has progressed his career over the years working his way in to a senior management position where he now leads the regional business unit.

    In his role, Craig oversees all aspects of the business from procurement through to the safe delivery of our regional projects. Craig’s extensive construction knowledge and excellent leadership skills ensures he is an effective leader of our regional office.

    Catherine Elliott

    FINANCE MANAGER

    Catherine has over 25 years of Accounts and Finance experience within the Construction industry. First joining the company in 1994, Catherine has been an integral part of the Atlas Building team’s growth in the Commercial Construction sector.

    Catherine not only oversees the day to day financial operations, but connects all financial elements of the business translating them to the broader business goals to support the executive team.

    Tony Somers

    HSEQ MANAGER

    Tony has over 10 years of experience in construction safety management and delivery of projects. Having worked his way up from an advisory role to a senior manager, Tony consistently demonstrates excellent leadership and positive HSEQ performance which facilitates results for every project, as well as the BGC Construction business.

    Tony provides HSEQ oversight to multiple concurrent projects through his dedicated safety team, whilst promoting a positive safety culture and driving continuous improvement.

    Steve Ball

    CONSTRUCTION MANAGER

    A forward-thinking construction leader and dedicated Construction Manager, Steve brings over 35 years of experience in the construction industry, including more than 20 years in construction management across a diverse range of project types. He effectively oversees all phases of construction – from pre-construction through to delivery, handover, and final closeout – consistently focusing on win-win outcomes for all stakeholders through maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors.

    In the delivery phase, Steve is heavily focused on fostering a safe working environment and culture. A proactive leader, he inspires, supports, and influences his team to achieve excellence and uphold the highest industry standards.
